Yes, when I was younger. I hitchhiked to Daytona Beach Florida for Spring Break. Would never do that again in a million years. Too many horror stories.

Yes. A friend and I hitchhiked allot, from Alabama, to New Jersey in 1956, from Texas to Oklahoma, From Selma Alabama to Mongomery Ala., just to name a few. But those were better times and hitchhiking was allot safer. We never worried about something happening. Of course, we are men and were in the USAF.

I've felt tempted to put up my finger and try to get hitchhiked, but I thought maybe something bad could happen to me...I have asked for a ride once or twice, but from women...Hitchhiking has crossed my mind several times...I am still curious about it.

Yes, but never to travel any real distance. I used to hitchhike to get home after partying in the city center when I was younger. I know it's dangerous but I live in tiny and safe Iceland and people here tend to be a bit too brave because of that.

I don't do it anymore - I now live in the city center. :)

Yeah, in the mid 70's I hitch hiked from San Diego, California to Detroit, Michigan.

That was one long trip, the best hop I grabbed was from Arkansas to Ohio, but I had to split the diesel with the trucker who picked me up.

In all it took me a little over a week, to make the trip. There were some days, no one would pick me up, so I did a lot of walking.

With today's mindset, there's no way I'd do that now.
