Ok i know this is in the wrong category, but please answer it if you can. Ok well i've had my bottom braces for 1-2 months now. And i just got my top braces today. I've realized that the brackets are all the way at the top of my teeth, near my gums. It kind of bothers me because it sort of looks down right stupid :p So i was wondering, is this for a reason? Will the brackets start to shift to the middle of my teeth as we start tp tighten them? PLEASE HELP!

Sorry to give you bad news, but no- the brackets are cemented into place and will not move. The good news is that depending on how your teeth move, they may have an overall lower appearance over time. Your orthodontist probably positioned them so that they would have optimal pull for the amount and direction on which he/she wants your teeth to move.

I know it's frustrating- I had braces for five years. Hang in there!

well i have braces and if your teeth are small it's most likely they put them up higher or it might have something to do with your teeth roots. When you go to the dentist ask him he will tell you but he isn't going to move them down any so i would advise you to try to get used to it

Why don't you call the doctor who put them in and ask???!!!

That is who should be answering this question. You (or your parents) have paid a pretty penny for braces and if you have any questions or concerns, you should make them known to the doctor.
