Lying is a natural part of the human behavior just like thinking, calculating etc. There are 2 types of lies "not the black and white" but the good lie which we all should practice and the wrong type which we should try not to do. To prove my point there is not 1 single person who walked on this earth who didn't lie it just depends on the situation.

A good lie situation where you HAVE TO lie:
-During war: example if you were held a hostage and you are being questioned then you will have to lie other than telling the truth and betray your nation.

-If your wife/husband, Girlfriend/boyfriend, ask you about the way they physically look "not talking weight" I'm talking features.

-To make up and fix a relationship between 2 people who fought, broke up etc.

so basically if you lied for a good cause then that wouldn't make you a bad person, if you don't agree then tell me what would you do if you were held a POW and got questioned.

It's a fact that everyone lies. There is no person in the world that haven't lied
U can see in your answers ,if anyone tell u he hasnt lied, never in his life ,u imediatelly will realise he has told u a lie by saing that.
I have lied ,but only for little things.I don't feel good when I lie.

Now for that answer I would need a calculator. But never on Y/A because what's the point. I don't know any of you people. It's so good to not have to worry about white lies.

I lied quite a bit when I was a kid. I have said my share of little white lies as an adult. I can honestly say I have never lied on Yahoo Answers.

I try not to lie because EVERY lie comes back to haunt you.

Plus you tell 1 lie and then another to cover that lie and another to make those lies seem real...it's just a big mess and eventually you don't even know your reality. sad but true.

I've lied a few times to get out of trouble or such at school but the truth ALWAYS comes out so honesty is the best.

Plus you gain a LOT of respect by being honest.

My Great Grandma was a Cherokee Indian. As children she always told us that for every lie we would tell we would have to tell ten more to cover it up. That made my brutally honest. I've even got into trouble by telling the truth when a simple lie might have saved the day. Dang it anyway Grannie. :o)

Hmm I do not disclose the full truth about how much I often spend to my husband - $$

But generally try to be truthful - as lies hurt -
and it's a a good value to have (honesty) while raising kids.
If you asked me if you looked fat I would say "no"
