Most cars have 3 pillars on a side. The "A" pillar is the one next to the windshield and the front window. The "B" pillar is the one right in the middle, between the doors. If you have a convertible or a hardtop, they will not have a "B" pillar. The "C" pillar is the one next to the rear windshield and the rear side window.
So the car had damage to the right front "A" pillar.

The metal between the passenger window and the windshield.
If it was damaged, it may have been 'cosmetically' fixed with bondo and paint. That is all that a body shop needs to consider it fixed, however it is now a safety problem because it could easily be weak.
If you are in an accident, you may need a strong pillar to save your life, or the life of your passenger.
I would not buy that car (based on that alone).

Probably a reference to the "hinge pillar". The only other pillar is the "latch pillar". The rear latch pillar is usually referred to as a dog-leg and isn't available separately because it's part of the quarter panel.
The right front hinge pillar is what the door hinges attach to. If the door opens and closes ok, and is in good alignment, it was probably installed properly.

That is the part of the body of th car that is betwen the windsheild and the passenger door. Basicly its the post that the passenger side of the windsheild rests on.

That the door and window work well. and that there is no particular wind noise or water leaks. I would also check that the tires were wearing well (no alliegnment problems.) And if the paint matches, what more could you ask for. (?)

generally it means the structure from the floor pan to the roof just ahead of the door opening... if not repaired correctly it made lead to tire wear at the minimum.... roof colapse in a roll over accident at worst...
