If your not satisfied call your ped again it sounds like reflux to me my daughter still has it and is still on zantac she's been on it since she was 1 month and she was even on alimentum formula by similac. Talk to your ped about your concerns, also keep her sitting up for a half hour after feedings in her car seat or bouncy chair and elevate her crib mattress with a blanket or something like that good luck!

How much are you feeding him at one time? Sometimes babies can only handle half an ounce before they need to burp. Are you feeding him regular milk or formula? Most babies are not on regular milk at that age because it is too strong for there systems to digest. Also when my first was spitting up his formula like that I just switched him although I was told by the doctor that it was fine, I listened to my mom, aunts, etc... Hes now turning four soon and a little terror.

If he is choking, is it only when he is taking the bottle? If so, it could be the opening in the nipples are too large. Also sometimes they are so hungry they drink faster than their bodies at that age can manage so they spit up more and choke a bit while it's going down.
If he seems to be choking after he is put in the crib, try proping him so he lays on his side, you can use a rolled towel behind his back.

My son was a big spitter-upper. After switching formula 10 times, we discovered that he had acid reflux. The milk was acidy on his stomach, so he was constantly spitting up. When I say spitting up, I mean throwing up his whole bottle practically. My doctor told me that it's only a concern when he's not gainging weight and he still was, so it was fine. Eventually though, we did give him medication for acid reflux for 2 weeks and he hasn't spit up since. He's 14 months now.

my daughter did this and I ended up putting single grain rice in her bottles at 3 weeks......everybody may say not to but I did......small amounts at first. When I started I did 1/4 teaspoon to every two ounces. it stopped the "projectile spitting" problem seemed to be that the formula just wasnt heavy enough for her to hold down

Sounds like reflux, my son had it bad when he was a baby, talk to his doctor about it, he can give im him a prescription to help with that and also can reccomend a new formula. I found that the medicine helped my son a little bit but its best to just wait it out, it will get better.

Sometimes this happens because they are laying flat all the time, so the milk can be in his oesophagus which makes it easy to come back up. Try to keep him upright longer after he eats and after you burp him.
