First it was:

"Saddam has WMDs and he won't disarm."

"He has nuclear and biological weapons."

"Saddam is a grave threat to world (and national) security, and he must be stopped."

Second was:

"Spreading freedom and democracy to the Middle East."

"Freeing the Iraqis from a bloody tyrant."

"Giving Iraqis their freedom and democracy."

Now it's:

"Al-Qaeda of Iraq is a dangerous threat to Iraqis and a severe threat to US national security."

"They are dangerous and has sworn to kill us all."

"They are the same ones who killed 3000 people on our soil."

Please permit me to answer your question with the following quotation, which can be found, among other places, on www.wisdomquotes.com :

"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them that they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

That explains, in a succinct way, the fear-mongering that the Bush administration uses to control us.

Oh yes, who authored that quote? Hermann Goering, Reichsmarshall, Nazi Germany.

Anyone who actually talks to the Iraqi people will know that they really want us out of there. Yes, Al-Qaeda is a problem but the Iraqis want to take care of it themselves.

Our soldiers are being killed mostly by insurgents, not Al-Qaeda. The insurgents are killing us because, as I said, they want us out. No, they won't follow us home. Have you listened to Bush's own National Intelligence Estimate? Al-Qaeda is stronger and ready to strike again in the US.

Bush didn't know how right he was when he said Al-Qaeda in Iraq are the same people who attacked us. Both the hijackers and the current Al-Qaeda in Iraq came from Saudi Arabia. But you won't even hear "Saudi Arabia" uttered on a news channel when reporting on Iraq.

bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Al Gore and different optimum Democrats made public statements approximately Iraq's WMDs as far returned as 1998. Iraq has used WMDs, on the whole in its war with Iran. Why do you think of they did no longer have them? Did somebody run planes into some scyscrapers in Beijing?

There are so many issues that stand in the way of the progress of any of his goals, the biggest one being wishy-washy people that screamed for retribution on 911! If we could get enough of these bleeding hearts to believe in the common goal of showing these muslim radicals what the U.S. is made of they'd run away like the yippy little mutts that they are! We are way more than capable of winning this thing. We have a lot of brave men and women that are the best of the best and believe in what they're doing over there. Put a little faith in your country, it is still the greatest country in the world!!!

Al-Qaeda is a threat to EVERYONE and more so to the Iraqis since they're desperately trying to take over their country. We're in an all out war against terrorists. I'm sorry your mind can't really comprehend that.

He's right..#1 was accomplished (removed Saddam) and that led to #2 (stabilize the country so that it will be able to stand on it's own)...#3 is a development that must be dealt with even as #2 is being carried out.
