well, my family and i recently moved here...and to tell u the truth...i hate it here...the only reason i moved was because my dad wanted to live here...so i had no choice...i'm 18 right now, but i plan on saving up some money in order to move to Los Angeles.

Yes I have. It's really hot there. I can imagine how hard it is to move from a cooler Oakland to baking Bakersfield. LA weather is a lot cooler than Bakersfield, well, if you live in the right city. If you live along the coast, the weather is pretty nice, but inland can get VERY hot.

yep. went to the university there for 3 years. Bak-o is a craphole, but Los Angeles is a bigger one. Consider your decision carefully. Perhaps get a college degree & then move to some nicer part of the country than California.

Thats my hometown!! I was born there, but my family moved when i was barely a few months...so I dont have any memories of living there. But my family visits there and, its never a pleasant visit. Mainly because of personal reasons though...but yeah I dont blame you for hating it. You should move if you;re not happy.

Yes. It is the cesspool of the central valley. If they are not burning the fields, they have pollution from the oil drilling or whatever blows in from El Lay. What a crap hole. You would be foolish to continue to live there.

I drove past it going to Vegas from cali and vice versa. Oh wait thats barstow never mind but I did see the exit for it. Yeah its just nothing but desert out that way

I was born there! I only lived there for the first year of my life, and I'm glad I moved out. It gets way too hot in the summer. The first summer I was there, it got to 117 degrees!

yeah...i had family there. but whenever we would go there we would visit this awful family that were huge gossipers, so i dont really have any pleasent memories of bakersfield. i dont live to far from bakersfield though, i live in fresno. bakersfield is slightly smaller than fresno i think.

Yes I don't live far from it......Very hot in the summertime but it is a nice area!
