Awesome...great conclusion. Easily my favorite book. Cried for Hedwig...cried for Dobby...cried for Fred...cried and cried and cried as Harry approached death with his parents, Sirius, and Lupin. I wanted to both hit and hug JKR for putting me through all that emotional turmoil. I feel blessed having Harry et al as a part of my life.

Edit: Oh, after that:
Goblet of Fire (best action)
Order of the Phoenix (best character development)
Half Blood Prince
Prisoner of Azkaban
Chamber of Secrets
Sorcerer's Stone

Awesome book. The epilogue was a good clincher for the kids' sake. It somehow puts a feel-good ending to the series and lets the readers imagination to fill in the gaps and what happens afterwards. JKR sure ended the series with the funfare and greatness the tale deserves. Having started reading the books in my late 20s, I would have liked Harry to die a heroic death but it started out as a children's book so, as a parent,I tip my hat to JKR for pleasing both sides (Harry dying, albeit temporarily, and Harry living happily ever after).

There were some questions I would have liked answered but overall, I think the book was great.

My favorite (from best to least): Prisoner of Azkhaban (for its originality and the emotions in it and where a lot of things about Harry's past were explained, it was darker than the previous 2 but a lot of feel-good parts), Deathly Hallows, Half-Blood Prince, Order of the Phoenix, Philosopher's Stone, Goblet of Fire and Chamber of Secrets.

Favorite to least favorite-

1. Prisoner of Azkaban
2. Deathly Hollows
3. Goblet of Fire
4. Chamber of Secrets
5. Sorcerer's Stone
6. Half-Blood Prince
7. Order of The Phoenix

They were all pretty close though. I don't dislike a lot about any of them. I just didn't like the Half-Blood Prince as much because it wasn't as exciting, and I got kind of annoyed reading Order of the Phoenix because Umbridge pissed me off and Harry was just way to moody. So those two people just annoyed the hell out of me at times.

As for the 7th book I was kind of hoping they would be back at school but unfortunately they didn't go. Of course they really couldn't have or else they wouldn't be able to search for the Hallows. I was sad that Hedwig and Dobby died, I felt to sorry for them. And I kind of couldn't believe that both Lupin, Tonks and Fred died. I also didn't like that the epilogue was about what Harry was doing 19 years later. Hoping she would better set up for a book by just telling what was happening 3-5 years later. They she could write about Harry becoming an Auror and working for the ministry and what not. I was thinking though she could write biography for Dumbledore, the truth or what Rita Skeeter had written it like.

Deathly Hallows was amazing!! It tied the entire collection together and answered all the unanswered questions throughout the entire book. Sadly my two favorite characters died at the end :( I was right about snape and I was also right about harry being a horcrux!

My order is
Deathly Hallows
Goblet of Fire
Prisoner of Azkaban
Sorcerers Stone
Chamber of Secrets
Half Blood Prince
Order of the Phoenix

i LOVED the deathly hallows! i loved it exactly the way jk wrote it so all the people who are saying 'it would've been better if...' can all shut up. i was sort of disappointed though, because deathly hallows wasn't longer. now im really sad that there aren't any more harry potter books to look forward to. its really tragic that fred died though, because i can't imagine the weasley twins apart. i liked it that kreacher stopped hating harry so much. i also liked the chapter kreacher's tale because it showed how regulus wasn't evil after all. i hope jk decides to do another series, even if it isn't about harry. maybe if its about teddy or scorpius. ill be a fan of whatever jk writes.
here is my favorite to least favorite harry potter book list:
1. sorcerer's stone, chamber of secrets, prisoner of azkaban, goblet of fire, order of the phoenix, half-blood prince and deathly hallows

Definitely the BEST book in the series..

I hated Snape after the last book... now... I sorta feel sorry for the old bloke.. It all makes sense now.. I really would love to see the story continue..or maybe start from the beginning with Orginial Order of Phoenix or all the chain of events that lead to Harry's parents demise..why did they get marked??? why did Nevill's parents get tortured?? Just food for thought...

But I LOVE the HP series and am sad to see it end...
