the first one is definitely nuts. There is nothing honorable about our commander and thief. If the big corporations were on our side then they would take care of their employees and not move their manufacturing to countries that employee children and pay very little for the work being done. Yet still have plenty of money to get stars to push the junk they want us to buy.

Have you tried to get an SBA loan? The majority of SBA loan funds go to corporations. Have you forgotten what SBA loans were meant for? Little people who want to have a shot at becoming self sufficient are left in the cold now. My banker actually told me that I had to prove that I didn't need the loan in order to get the loan. There is no doubt that Corporate America controls the government. No, I do not believe there in honor in Corporate America, to wit: Enron, Haliburton, Exxon, just to name a few.
Some of you say take responsibility...you obviously don't live in the real world. Let's see what kind of tune you sing when the classes disappear and only the rich and mighty have all control. You had better wake up...it is much closer than you think.

They both seem a little extreme. The truth is anyone who's willing to go to the lengths politicians do to acquire power probably can't be trusted with that power - which is why we have a complex government with checks and balances instead of just electing a king with absolute power. Similarly, corporations can only be trusted to try to make money - but, a lot of the horrid evil things people sometimes fear corporations are up to are not actually good for business...

The government is more corrupt than in any other time in our history. The politicians take too much money to run too many attack ads for the election, that we do not want to see.
We should limit the amount of money spent on ads for any candidate from ANY source. Every candidate should have the exact same amount of money. This amount shall be dictated by the amount of donations given To a general fund for both Democrat, Republicans, and Independents. The amount would depend on the amount donated. A Minimum amount should be set and would be supplied by us if there are not enough donations.
Attack ad would be prohibited in any form. That way the candidates will have to run on their merits and their stances on the issues, not their opponents.
This would be a good start to do away with the hatred and divisiveness in this country, not to mention the damn attack ads!!!!

Hopefully you'll find this an adequate answer.
Politics - and the associated power and contacts - attracts corruption like dead meat attracts flies; from both major parties. Neither is immune to the attraction.
Corporations ~ it depends on the president or CEO. Some corporate heads are compassionate human beings as well as successful business moguls. Other less "scrupulous" executives are only as "honest" and "compassionate" as they can be regulated or contained by government regulations (labor laws, EPA, OSHA, etc.). This applies to how they treat their employees or their dedication to a quality product at a reasonable price.
Both government AND corporations are "capable of anything."

I do not believe our Government for the most part is honorable, there are some aspects of it which still are but because of the dirty politicians who are becoming the majority it is becoming increasingly more corrupt.
I do not trust billion dollar corporations at all and believe they are only out to make more money so much so that they have all of it and we have none.

What's the BIGGEST lie?
Isn't it "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." ?
I think the second biggest lie of all time is "The check's in the mail." or the kid with chocolate all over his face "I didn't eat the cookies."
Oh, I guess I should answer your question . . . the assertion that the government is honourable is nuts.

I think there are some politicians that are honorable but the majority are nothing but crooks.
Now i think Corporations have an awfully lot of people working for them and what would we be like if we didn't have any? Mass unemployment, etc. I think the Corporations have some that are overpaid but Life's not fair is it.

There are lots of corporations that spent time on other than profits; and they are gone now! Who says corporations need to on your side! For corporations to employ millions and millions they need to be on their side. (Corporations don't waste billions of your tax money.)
