okay people, what is your problem. how can you possibly my chemical romance? they are the best thing ever. obviously, YOU are the one with the problem. yes i know they're emo but i love emo music so whatever.

I am getting more mileage out this post than Seinfeld reruns. Still, how can I resist this? :-)
1. Their very name is the worst example of pandering to disenfranchised teenagers who might have dependency issues. Great, except for the fact that this band has no such issues.
2. They have sullied the face of rock with an operatic concept album that makes Bohemian Rhapsody seem like Jane's Addiction by comparison.
3. Their fans have no knowledge about rock or the dark genres which they claim that MCR is a part of. I know there are many people who say you shouldn't hate any band, but their fans are so obnoxious, mindless sheep who lack perspective.
4. I quote Marilyn Manson "I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done". Painfully true.
5. They are a creation of MySpace, also a plague on society.
6. Oh yeah, their music plain sucks. The singing, the sound, the guitar work, all bad. Toy piano is just the ultimate middle finger to the audience. I have heard all of their material, so I am not basing it on just one song. They are all mind-numbingly horrible.
I should add a #7. Their fanbase sounds a lot like the rejects you see on The Hills or Laguna Beach. "Like whatever." "Like you're the problem so whatever." "Like the best band ever, so whatever." What we have here is the lowest common denominator of music fans. Besides lacking knowledge, they can barely form a sentence. One last point, I don't care if they are emo or Elmo. Those labels are really idiotic.

OK.. I love My chemical romance too... but THEY ARE NOT EMO!! THey have even said it themselves! They are not emo! But yeah, My Chemical Romacen is a great band, with music you can listen to over and over again and never get tired of it. They care for their fans so much. And the lyrics are powerful.

I LOVE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE TOO!!!! but they are NOT emo! there is no sign that they are 'emo'. except that they wear black. but A LOT of people wear black. the meaning behind the songs prove that they are not emo. a lot of their songs may have a darker concept, but by the time its over, you know that it had a bright ending. and just because they love 'revenge' and the concept of 'death' does not necessarily make them emo. their point is to save lives, not encourage suicide or 'emotional acting. their music is dramatic, but drama doesn't have to mean something in a negative way. no offense to anyone that considers them self's emo or emotional. but, i do agree with you that they are THE BEST BAND EVERRR!!! but i don't necessarily agree that they are emo.=)

I really don't like them
I mean, I'd listen to them if I had to. They arent super horrible but in MY opinion they are not that great.
& I really LOVE EMO music. A lot. Just not them.
So I dont get what point you're trying to make with the last sentence.
Anyways, just because some people dont like a band that you're obviously obsessed with doesnt mean that we have a problem.. =/

I love them but Gerards said they dont know why people call them emo and it pissed him off coz they couldnt do a show cause they 'didnt look or sound like the rest of the acts' soo..

especially their first two albums.

i saw them in concert with Rise Against and it was awesome! they even made fun of everyone who keeps calling them a "emo death cult band." they played all of the Black Parade and then did the full set for Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. i don't care about what others say. they're just a great band.

I love my chem!!! and they arent emo... sure their lyrics are sometimes emo, but they're actually alternative rock, or as some people see them... pop/rock... and people judge them byt their looks... but I'd still love them if they were considered the emoest band on earth...
