If a man of color and a women don't have a chance to become president, we really do have serious problems in our society.
And yes, I feel America has the maturity to accept someone elected by the majority.

the last time we had a WASP? the last president that was KILLED was JFK and he was CATHOLIC and WASP stands for white, anglo-saxon PRODESTANT... so therefore he was in no way a WASP... now, to answer the rest of your question, of COURSE a man of color and/or a woman could have a chance to be president... it COULD happen if people could look beyond the SKIN COLOR and GENDER and just look at the political facts and platform of EACH candidate and NOT vote solely on what a person LOOKS like or WHO. If a strong enough , well liked enough man of color or woman were running for president, and people DID overlook WHAT they were and voted for WHO they were---we could see a change in the presidential elections. Notice here I am not naming names or BASHING any particular presently running candidate... hope everyone else has enough intellect to do the same.

Yes.
Of course, any candidate who wins a majority of the vote (which doesn't happen as often as you might think), could be said to truely represent the majority. It is possible to be represented by someone who is of a different race & gender than yourself, afterall. So America has always had the maturity to accept a President who carries over 50% of the popular vote - it's just that, thanks to the electoral college, they don't always have the opportunity to do so.

Why do so many conservatives keep talking about CONDELEEZA RICE??? Don't they understand that this woman was trained/educated in the time of the cold war, meaning that her methodology and philosophy on foreign affairs is to AVOID nations we don't agree with and just hope they'll cater to us? I mean, that's not even a CONSERVATIVE viewpoint.. it just happens to be an ingorant BUSH ADMIN viewpoint. Look at Ronald Reagan! He had the intelligence and insight to understand that resolution can only come from a joint effort, not arrogance, ignorance and international rudeness and disrespect. People need to understand that the issue in the Middle East far surpasses America's 'pride', it is about the people there and their lives; it is about resolving a global issue before it spirals out of control and ends in world war III; it is about acting as a WORLD TOGETHER instead of a NATION APART - and all of this goes for EVERY COUNTRY, not just America.

I thought it was Hoffa's Unions that killed JFK. Thats just always been my thought.
Yes a person of color or a woman could be President.
I do not care for Obama or Hillary, but that has nothing to do with Race or Gender.
I really like Condi Rice, Colin Powell....
I also like Leiberman, as we have never had a Non-Christian either.

Yes, but Obama and Billary Clintax are not suited for the job. Condi Rice, perhaps..Herman Cane, sure..But a senator who's strongest point is "I was opposed from the war from the start" (never mind the fact I wasn't in office to vote against it from the start), and a woman who's song should be John Lennon's Imagine..Get real.
And who was the last non-wasp president.

No they don't. Best of luck getting the rednecks and hillbillies to vote for them. The south and half the midwest states are unobtainable. Either of those types of canidates will be lucky to carry 2 states total in those regions.

Yes, only if they support the majority of Americans. Which I wouldn't count on Obama or Hillary for.
And I'm not a racist.

But the ones running now are creeps.
I wish that a black woman would have run.

By the way, someone of color doesn't represent the majority.

Umm, first, though I'm not, the majority are WAPS.
Second, the answer is yes, but that doesn't mean THIS MAN or WOMAN.
