Just because you prefer older music, doesn't make you old. I keep joking that I'm getting old before my time, because I like some of the older groups, even stuff my dad listened to in his youth. In fact though, it's just having a different taste and opinion to others, in my opinion, a more mature one.
Don't worry. Your not lame, just enjoy being who you are.

What kind of music do you like?
1972-75 were my favorite years for pop music. The mixes, melodies and harmonies were great. Everything put out during that short time was ear candy.

That's ok! Music is the music of the soul, it is the language of mankind. Nostalgic music puts you back in early years. There's nothing wrong if you listen to old musics. Itis only your feeling and it will not affect your personality.

My three favorite bands, in alphabetical order, are:
. . . Pink Floyd
. . . Simon & Garfunkel
. . . Cradle of Filth
Wait! i before e, except when it's c, no no wait its 30 day hath Septober . . . ah, what the hey . . .
Anyway, did you ever stop to think that Simon and Garfunkel can be as darkly brooding and gothic as Edgar Allen Poe. Compare "I Am a Rock" to "The Raven" and decide for yourself.

You are from a different music era and times have changed. Every so many years the music changes. Just listen to what you like.

You might be stuck in the past. Nostalgia for what once was is generally a dissatisfaction for what is. Some can live out their lives never being in the present or living towards the future in their missing of what once was.
