there is a sticker on the shock tower of my 1998 Camaro with emissions information and some kind of bar codes. the problem is that it was put on crooked by the factory and it is really messing up the look of my otherwise perfect camaro.

I already removed the sticked which telles you what kind of collant to use and the accessory belt routing info. but the other sticker is not coming off without ripping. can I buy a new one if I rip this one?

So what if there are bar codes on it? What is the big deal with these answers. Write the information down in a notebook and keep it in your glove compartment. Done.
Nice car. Did you see the new camaros they are coming out with?

A better answer would be to just put a cooler sticker over top that one, so it's not removed, just covered up. If the Inspection people need it, then the decorative/custom sticker could be removed.

PS - yes, some people at cars shows actually DO reproduce the emissions stickers to sell. You'd have to go to some big show like Carlisle or Hershey to find them, probably. Or may can find them online. But I know they do reproduce them for '70s cars, I've seen'em.

That sticker with the emissions information should be able to be purchased from the dealer, there may even be a small part number on the sticker. If you live in an area where you have to get your car emission tested, I believe that they can technically fail your car if the sticker is gone. They my not even check it though.

Sweet lookin ride, dude! I'd peel it off and not worry about it. Write down the stuff on the sticker just in case you might ever need it.

i seriously doubt you could buy a new one. especially if it has BAR CODES on it. where would you get one? i work with chevy products and am kind of familiar with moronic things people do like rip stickers off of things on their cars and try to replace them. it's not like gm has a replacement sticker department that you can just call up and say "hey, i peeled the serial sticker off of my engine and i really need a new one. can you send me one of those?" just leave it, for the love of god.

you can take it off its your car but good luck replacing it. most people will just assume it was hit in the front end when you go to sell the car. that is the most common reason for a missing catalyst sticker.
