Smaller privately own buildings and brownstones rent out places that do not go through as strict a screening process.
Although avoiding an eviction is still the best way to go.
l myself have rented in places where a check was not done and it was all based on the interview during the submission of the application.

Rent from a person and not a property management company. If they are going to run your credit, they will usually ask for the fee, but not always. I believe they run a different kind of check for rental credit, though, and an individual is much less likely to run that one.

Rent from someone you know -- a friend, business associate or relative -- and be sure to pay your rent on time so you don't get a second eviction on your record.

You keep looking for a place which doesn't check closely enough to figure out you have been evicted elseswhere. They are not easy to find.

Oh, they show up on credit reports for rentals. That is the whole point,. to warn others of your lack of ethics.
You are going to need to find someone not interested in your credit history. If that does not work people like you end up in weekly hotels, check the seedy side of town.
