I would say its over-hyped. Brown was naturally going to get something resembling a bounce because he is so different than Blair. What is probably making it stronger than it should be is the fact Cameron has had a bad month or two. If Cameron was on his A game, Labour would still be getting their butts handed to them.

The question is whether Brown has lasting power. If the economy stays ok, its possible. If the economy starts to slip and crime continues to be out of control, Cameron will be forming a large majority government in 2010.
