Arco I believe in Rancho Cucamonga has incredibly LOW gas prices compared to most of the other gas stations they start as low as 2.89 per gallon of 87 octane when others are going as high as 3.32 per gallon of 87 octane.
On a nissan If I put in 20 bucks at say 3.20 a gallon the tank will almost fill up all the way maybe with another 5 bucks it will fill up all the way to full BUT, at ARCO I put in 20 bucks and the tank fills up to a little bit over the half way mark and not to mention the gas gauge dropped close to a quarter of a tank in a 40 mile drive while driving at 70 mph, usually it barely even moves. Does this seem strange to anyone else? What do you all think about this? If I can prove them to be cheating the customer who do I report them to? cause I plan on proving that they are cheating the customer and if they arent then more power to them.

See what I wanted to do is take one of those red gas tanks that you use to transport gas or when you run out of gas give them enough for exactly 5 gallons fill up the tank to the 5 gallon mark and the level indicator on the spare gas tank should be at 5 gallons and the pump should also read exactly 5 gallons that way you know wether you did get what you paid for or you didnt, but after doing some rough calculations I figured that the ARCO im talking about might actually be legitemate. 2.89 a gallon multiplied by 14 gallons = about 40 dollars , so 20 dollars should fill up about half way which it did and then some *** the 14 gallon gas tank comes on the 2007 nissan , the nissan im driving is a 1998 but im pretty sure the gas tanks are the same size***
SO the ARCO most likely is legit ........ such a shame really to see how ridiculous gas prices have gotten to be.

In reality there is no need for the gas-station to be dishonest , every gas-station is a supplier or vendor of a commodity with a freedom to charge as one wants to , the reality is that each vendor competes with the one down the street , so is of no use to over priced , or they won't be surviving for very long . The profit margin for the gas-station owner is in fact very low his pie piece is about 5, cents to the dollar or there about , the one that makes the most is government fuel tax , here in Canada the tax is almost 40 cents to the dollar , then comes the fuel cost that is 25 cents and then the supplier like ESSO or which ever one which is another 20c. and other 5c. to other tax etc.. so in reality check the shape of the pie per dollar and you will see that the most expense the government takes .

WOW i used to live in Upland. There are lots of tricky ways gas stations cheat customers. The one where $5 dollars really is about 4.50 fuel delevered and the pump speeds up to make 5.00 gal acutate That way weights and measures checks with there container it is close enough. Russan mob gas stations were notorious for cheating. The only way you know is run out of fuel and see if the station shows the correct amount when you fill up. Nissan Fuel gauges are not calibrated so needle movement doen not mean anything just full and low till the low fuel light comes on with approx one gallon remaining.

Every time I get gas for my car, I fill the first gallon very slowly. I let it hit 1.00 gallons, then look at how much it has cost me. I find that many gas stations have the pump rigged to give less gas than you think you are getting. It's them stealing from us. What can we do about that?
