Yes. I overslept by about two hours and got a speeding ticket about a block from my house. I was going over 50 in a 35, but I wound up with a ticket for under 50 plus a ticket for a defective emergency brake. Same cost, but less points.

All things considered, stupidest ticket I ever received. I would have needed to be driving a DeLorean to get to work on time.

I was also pulled over for non-functional tail lights, but it was by security police on a military base. No fine - just a fix and repair within 48 hours. A little frustrating since it was a broken ground wire. It took about 15 minutes at the side of the road to find the problem and make a temporary repair, with a permanent repair the next morning.

When? Many times
Why? Mostly because a headlight or taillight JUST blew out
Did you get a ticket? Almost all the time
How much did you have to pay? Nothing in the end as long as the bulb was replaced in a timely fashion

BUT the last time I was pulled over for a broken taillight, I had the plates removed from my car, had to tow my car back to a work place, narrowly avoided going to jail, had to hire an attorney, had my license suspended and spent nearly 3 months getting it all back again. If it was not for the attorney, I may have even had to do jail time even after proving that I was falsely pulled over - my tail light was never out, and that my plates were illegally taken, and my license should never have been suspended. All because someone in Tallahassee made a mistake on my records. Cost me THOUSANDS in the end.

Needless to say, I dont like cops right now.

Yes I have been pulled over 6x's so far. And only gotten 1 ticket out of the 6 x's I have been pulled over.
When : (THE LATEST ONE that I got pulled over...) was the week when Pirates of the Caribbean 3 came out! We went to the late show. The cop was following me don't know why! I wasn't doing a dam thing! When I turned right on my street, there it was the Red & Blue lights were flashing!!!
So I pulled over thank god it was midnight because I didn't want any of my neighbors seeing this!! To make the long story short, he pulled me over because I DIDN'T USE MY SIGNAL LIGHT!!! I DIND'T GET A TICKET. I JUST GOT A WARNING!
* Back in 1992 I got pulled over for the car pool line. When it 1st came out. I went on it for 2 mins when a CHP came about. I went to court wearing shorts & a tank top. On the court door there was a sign stating " NO SHORT OR TANK TOP ALLOWED! Great I took my chances I was charged $300.00, the judge put it down to $245.50.

I was pulled over last year because I was speeding. Since I had no prior record, the cop let me go. It was a Sunday morning and no one was on the freeway, and that's why I'm guessing I didn't get a ticket. I was going about 95 an hour.

Only twice for speeding many years ago-I do not recall the tickets costs. Once for making a rolling stop-just given a warning. Once for stopping on the rail road tracks-when the van in front of me failed to go when the light was green-turning to yellow-and the cop pulled up behind me intimidating me from backing up. I paid it then did a trial by declaration (wrote out exactly what had happened). The cop did not show up to defend his action so the money was refunded to me.
Then another warning when a cop saw me weaving on the freeway. He thought I may be drunk. In reality I was exhausted-went to my first night class 6 to 10 p.m. then went on the freeway going the wrong direction for one hour before I discovered my mistake. It was nearly midnight when the cop pulled me over. I was only 7 miles from home and told him that the adrenaline rush I got from being pulled over would keep me fully awake to get the rest of the way home.

Most cops recognize their friends cars. But if for some reason a cop did pull over another it would be because he didn't know. In which case they would let the other go.

yeah..used to happen a lot when I worked for the PD, but I always got out of the ticket... then I started a new career in a different state, and I finally got a real ticket and it sucked. the cop was a total ******.....it already sucks beyong belief to get pulled over, they don't have to be mean while their at it.

Speeding
No Insurance (I couldn't find my card, I had it when I went to court though)

I dont remember how much I paid..too much.

I have been pulled over more times than I can remember. I am a bad driver and I fully admit it. I've had so many tickets that the traffic school people know me by name.
I once got pulled over TWICE in the same week for speeding in the same spot, same speed, same cop. He was not amused. He wasn't gentle.

Yes, I was passing a guy who was going 45 in a 60. The cop got me as he was coming towards me. (Radar) He said I was going 74 in a 60 and gave me a ticket for going 70 in a 60 instead of 74. Ticket would have cost 117.00 but since he put down 70 I only had to pay 91.00.
He said I should have slowed down sooner then I did. My fault.
