I'm not sure how invading Iraq (but not doing anything discernable about North Korea or Iran) can be construed as defending our country.
I'm not sure how our providing a perfect training environment in Iraq for wave upon wave of young urban terrorists can be construed as defending our country.
I'm not sure defense contracts designed to enrich old friends rather than meet the needs of the military can be construed as defending our country.
I'm not sure alienating the rest of the world can be construed as defending our country.
I'm not sure gutting the environment, corporate oversight, and the national budget can be construed as defending our country.
Maybe you could make a case?

its not that democrats would rather do nothing....its that they kno that what bush and the republicans are doing right now isnt favorable with the majority of the public so they are taking the far opposite stance to win votes for the ellection.

Democrats are comprised of the... how do I say this, uneducated, degenerate, morally weak peoples of the USA. Sad but true, we do have people like this in our country.
Democrats want to disband our military, surrender our sovereignty to the UN...and to terrorists, while placing ever more government controls on your life. They would rather sell priceless technology to our enemies and future enemies for peanuts - and campaign contributions - while telling you its in your best interest. It would be funny if it were not true.

Because most Democrats (not all) tend to be liberals. They are much more concerned about putting others down (Republican) and bad-mouthing them for their own liberal agenda, than the security of this nation (my opinion).

That is the most asinine thing i have ever heard. Republicans don't defend our country it seems that our biggest terrorist actions happen while a Republican is in office. Republicans greatest ability is to get us in unnecessary wars.
