Absolutely.

People will always disagree. Until the end of time. And some of those people will just happen to have access to nuclear bombs and other weaponery (sp?).

It's a sad fact of life.

In International Relations Theory, 'realists' believe that wars between states are inevitable because state actors are selfish and motivated for their own gain. Realists believe that states will only co-operate as far as they can gain or manipulate the situation to gain the most benefit.

Liberalists believe that states can co-operate and by this co-operation all states can gain by an even distribution of resources and can make the world a better place by co-operation. To this end, some believe that Democracies will not fight against each other because they hold liberal values of co-operation, and the benefit of all citizens without war.

While i dont believe that war is inevitable, I do believe that states will compete with each other and this competition can lead to war - unless controlled. Brinkmanship can lead to a situation where competition spirals out of the control of politicians.

Take a good, long, hard look at nature. What do you see, everywhere you look, in and between all living things? Struggle. To survive. To preserve the genes. Everywhere.
Humans are an part of nature, but much of the time delude themselves into thinking they are above or beyond nature. Actually, nature is what made us humans, and most of what distinguishes the varieties of humans. Of course, in the struggle to survive and pass on our genes, we will confront other humans with different genes who will try to control all the land and resources and ensure their genes pass to the future instead. This is the real basis of most wars. Even when religion seems to be the context of a war, the opponents are often from seperate races or ethnicities.
It seems that the only way to establish a longer lasting peace is through racial/ethnic territorial seperation and a conscious decision on both sides not to intrude on the homeland of the others. Either that, or stay in a multicultural boiling cauldron of racial tension and struggle until we can destroy each other. But I like the first choice much better.

Wars have always been apart of the way which humans express themselves...and yes, women too! So for as long as someone has a reason to spend the money on war, they will. Even somewhere in the gospels it says it. Either way, war is bad, but is apart of us.

War is conflict. Conflict is inevitable. However, the nature of war is not inevitable. It has already undergone significant changes in history since the advent of civilization. Future wars may end up being fought cybernetically or by proxy.

I don't believe that's always the case, but at times, say World War II, for example, the answer would have to be yes. How many times did the world appease Hitler, only to have him take it as a sign of weakness? It only encouraged him to continue with his mad schemes!

war is caused by economic differences or religious differences, no we all earned the same amount of money and believed the same things it would be as boring as hell.

Wars are becoming less frequent and have fewer casualties. For us anyway. I think we shall have wars for as long as we have something worth fighting for.
