For all those who answered this question with "what does God have to do with anything" or thereabouts, this country was founded with a respect and understanding of God. And the Judeo-Christian beliefs are the basis upon which our Constitution, laws and government were structured.
So that being said, let's go back to some of the liberal mottos during some of the past election.
"It's the economy stupid" - If that is the case, then there will be no democrat elected president in 2008
"The election was stolen" - If that is the case then the libs will not have a judicial system because the judicial system on numerous occassions validated the 2000 election
"It's not whether there is guilt or not; it is the seriousness of the charge" - Both Clintons are in jail and the news media would be in very serious trouble with the amount of slander and liable they have spewed over the past 6 years.
The bottom line is that the liberals are so afraid that someone will start using what they have said in the past against them. They are so afraid that the public will start to think for themselves. And as for those here who answer questions, they claim that conservatives are sheep following the Bush pack of wolves to the slaughter. Well the fact is that they are the sheep never questioning anything they hear that is spewed from a liberal democrat Congressman or the liberal media. The fact clearly point all this out and like a little kid who is confronted with the fact they broke the cookie jar, the liberals try to deny them and get furious that they are not believed. Hence the hatred.

The Vietnam War is the root cause - that is when liberals became Marxists and the great divide in American culture happened. The Republicans hurt the Democrats bad due to the furor over this war. It was returned in full after Watergate by a now leftwing Democratic Party. It was ratcheted up greatly when a true conservative Ronald Reagan became President, settled down some with the moderate GHW Bush but when President Clinton was caught and the mountains of corruption revealed, the Republicans once again pounded the Democrats. Most of the animosity to President G W Bush is directly related to this. A popular two-term President was shown to be a criminal and the resentment of his followers was aimed at whoever the new Republican President was and President Bush was elected. It didn't help that he had to go to the US Supreme Court to prevent the Democrats from stealing the election in Florida either. We have a political blood feud going on and the country will suffer unless we the people find a way to stop it.

Where have you been the last 6 years? Bush has disgraced the Office and has no honor.
As for special prosecutors, Grand Juries, and Impeachment Hearings, Bust deserves all 3 far more that President Clinton ever did.
Good Lord, I hope you leave your politics out of your classroom!

Well, I need to begin by saying I voted for Bush, simply because I don't think there has been a decent democrat candidate for years. That said, I believe Bush is a mediocre president at best. The war in Iraq is a joke because he lacks the courage to get the job done the right way.
You talk about safety, but at what cost? Our rights have been completely violated with the patriot act. But even worse, President Bush caters to Mexico and Canada by leaving our borders easily crossable (if I can cross it in a second, I know a so-called terrorist can). Tell me how that is safety!
And with that Harvard degree, I'd think Bush could actually formulate a coherent sentence. Don't act like he was a war hero either; Daddy kept him nice and safe!
So please, don't act like Bush is a great leader. Also, I am a Christian and I don't want to hear how he is a God-fearing leader. He often gives people of my faith a bad name!

Ya, Bush served in the National Guard, to avoid serving in the Vietnam War. If you call that honorable, sure I guess he is.
Bush has removed honor and dignity from the White House:
-Attorney firings scandal
-infringing on rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights by the PATRIOT act
-going to war on false pretenses: WMD's
-calling people who don't agree with him "cut and runners"
-his utter disregard for the system of checks and balances
-his signing notes, where he signs a bill into law, but says he doesn't have to follow it
-supporting the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill
Barry auh2o- The justification for attacking Iraq was not 9/11, it was WMD's.

with his harvard mba it's all due to dad and his connections. Also, it's a given fact that the president has little influence in terms of economy. every economy cycle goes through bull and bear market. secondly, his dad placed saddam in presidency and he's trying to rectify his dad's mistake. It's bush's cronies like rove, cheney and libby that's in front of the grand juries and hearings. even conservatives have to agree what i had to say. So how does that earn my respect?

George W. Bush is a phony and a fake. He's not smart, he's not patriotic and he serves no master but himself. Read Elmer Gantry by Sinclair Lewis and you'll find Mr. Bush. He talks a good game but even he doesn't believe his own BS.
If it weren't for the fact that he has screwed up our country I wouldn't give the guy a second thought. He's certainly not worthy of it.

It's called second guessing.Bush never been in a position with a 9/11 on his hands before. nor has anyone else.
He has to do SOMETHING after 9/11, if he would have said " we don;'t know who is responsible, we can't retaliate' he would have been called a wimp, a coward and everything else. Here comes Iraq.
Unfortunately it is taking longer that what we hoped for, and now everybody is second guessing him.
Did you watch the debates Monday night? My question would have been, " You are thee president, and an attack on th scale of 911 occures. What will you do???"
I would have loved to see or hear the responses.
