I live on a cul-de-sac and i also live on the corner of that cul-de-sac so its very difficult for me to park especially when it comes to parallel. the neighbor to my right has two cars in front of it and the neighbor to my left usually has a car there so i virtually have no place to park because the space is limited. I have no choice but to park two houses down to my right so i can park. I had been parking in front of the house two doors away from me and they recently had taped a note on the window of my car telling me that i cannot park there.

I have been observing their parking area and no car has been parked there in over a week! Is there any law giving them the right to tell me where to park? If so, please send me some websites telling me this law full and full. I really need to some evidence to show to them that i can park wherever i please.

If it's not posted that you cannot park, you're not blocking a fire hydrant or a driveway, you can park there. Have a cop tell them what's what.

If they don't have a sign there and it's not their private property, then you can park there and there isn't anything they can do about it. Even if they called a tow truck to come and move your car, the driver wouldn't be allowed to unless they could prove that it was their property and you were trespassing.
It doesn't matter whose house it's in front of, or how rare spots are on your block. If it's not their private property -- which the street isn't -- they can't stop you from parking there.
Next time you get that note, call a police officer. You won't get any more notes after that.

If it is a public street and no parking places have been assigned to each house, you can park anywhere you darn well please.....

You are a taxpayer just like your neighbor goon is...you can park anywhere on a public street that is not designated "no parking" by the city.

It would be kind of hard to send you to a website about your street not knowing where that street is....

If it is a public street, I am sure you can park anywhere you want (except in front of a hydrant or a driveway.) But if you want to be sure, call your local police and ask them.

The street is a public parking area unless otherwise posted.

They have the right to tell you where to park and you have the right to ignore them. When and if they try to force the issue by vandelizing your car, it would be helpful to have the note even if it doesn't contain a threat.

As long as there are no city/local signs citing a city ordinance, I would have to say, no, your neighbor can NOT tell you where to park.

However, if you would like to have a cordial relationship with these neighbors, I would suggest knocking on their door and talking with them face to face, explaining the situation...and hopefully they'd be sympathetic to your plight.

If you are on public property( i.e. the sidewalk) and there aren't any "no parking" signs, then your neighbors can't stop you from parking there.
