I personally think that this bear would mop the floor with any large constrictor that exists on the planet. But some nut cases in youtube are trying to say that a python or anaconda could kill a Kodiak Bear. I totally disagree! Large mammals like Tigers and Bears would pose a serious problem in the way of leverage for the snake. 90 psi or crushing force does the snake no good if it cannot coil around its victim. And it is impossible for it to coil around a large Bear or Tiger. They are not gonna simply sit there and allow the snake to throw coils around it. A bear would cut the snake into peices. A large Tiger would be able to bite the snake in half or cause some serious wounds that would force the snake to retreat. Tigers kill and eat large pythons all the time. No Python has ever killed a fully grown tiger. A cub was documented but never an adult. Whats with all these snake myths?

Kodiak Brown Bears can weigh up around 2000 lbs. There is no way a large constrictor could ever have a chance. Just like someone posted a video called "Anaconda Eats Hippo" LOL..... Anacondas are from South America! Hippos are from Africa! A Hippo would destroy any large constrictor easily! Those people in youtube are nuts!

The only large predators (carnivorous mammals) that I know of that have been documented as giant constrictor kills are the leopard and jaguar. Both usually weigh less than 200 pounds, the leopard being the smaller of the two. It isn't surprising that a 250-300 pound snake could make a meal out of a 150 pound cat.
An anaconda could probably kill a small to medium sized black bear, but the two animals' ranges do not over lap in the wild. There are black bears and other smaller bears in asia where there are pythons, but I'm not aware of any account of one being killed by a giant snake.
One other thing to think about with the kodiak bear or tiger is this: In a purely predatory (and not self-defense) mode there will be no point for the snake to attack and attempt to kill an animal that it cannot eat. A 300 pound snake isn't going to begin to be able to swallow a 1000 pound bear.
The only way it may attempt to kill a bear would be if it were attacked first, but even then I don't think it would have a chance. IMO if Kodiak bears and giant snakes shared terrirory in the wild, (other than cubs being eaten by the snakes) the bears would make regular meals out of the snakes.

First of all, I tend to agree with you, however, have you ever seen a full grown Anaconda, I have......They are huge, their bodies have a girth similar to mine, I am 5'7" 165 lbs. Snakes are nothing but muscle, they are incredibly powerful reptiles. I catch snakes all the time where I live albeit, most are quite small, it still amazes me how strong a 15" Northern Ringnecked Snake is. I have held a 6 foot Retic and let me tell you, it's strength was mind boggling. I was holding his head about a foot from my body with my hand and had the rest of his body draped over my shoulders. I could not control his head, wherever this snake wanted to go was where my arm went. I could feel it's muscles contracting on my shoulders as it was moving.
Constrictors have hooked shaped teeth that are made for grasping, Once they get a hold of something it is tough to get them to let go.
Now could it kill a tiger. I don't think so. The tiger is way too large and agile for the snake to effectively subdue it. Even if a large Anaconda where to get a grip on the backside of a tiger, the tiger would whip around, jump and deliver a lethal blow to the snake. The tiger is equipped with a far more lethal arsenal of weapons, and the snake is very vulnerable to these weapons. The snake would not have enough time to subdue the cat. However, if an Anaconda crept up on a sleeping tiger, it is far more powerful than the cat and it would win this battle. By the time the tiger became aware of what was happening, it would be over. This would never happen though. First of all they live in different regions and the tiger is too large to be a food source for any large constrictor.
A Brown Bear, Grizzly Bear, Kodiak Bear, Polar Bear, etc. Just too large in any circumstance for the snake to stand a chance.

I don't think any type of snake that attacks prey primarily by constricting it, would not be able to take down really any type of adult sized bear. However a large adult Anaconda might be able to take down a Tiger but I wouldn't bet on it. Anacondas are known for picking fights with animals it can't stand a chance against, for example an Anaconda once attempted to kill and eat a adult crocodile and actually started to swallow the Crocodile but it woke up inside the snake and well... I think you can imagine what followed that on your own.
But like I said a large anaconda does have a SMALL possibility of taking down a Tiger. As long as it can coil around its chest before getting bitten or clawed of course. It does difinitly have enough constriction force to suffocate the Tiger to death.
For bears, I don't think it could cool around the bear enough to do any serious damage.

As long as the snake isn't venomous, the brown bear would win. The smaller constrictors would have no hope, while the larger ones probably aren't as agile as the bear. They kill by constriction, but I'll bet the bear would chop up the snake with its huge claws and sharp teeth before the snake could do that.

FYI: Several months ago I saw on a cable nature show an old black and white documentary. (Frank Buck???). It showed a black panther messing with a Burmese python and the python won. It killed, but did not eat the panther.
