That would depend on the situation for which I need advice. I ask advice from my mortgage broker concerning refinancing, I may ask a close personal friend for relationship advice-I may research a topic in a University's data base of articles, journals, encyclopedias.

I can't ask my parents-- they give horrible advice, I found that out the hard way when I was growing up.
I usually talk to a girlfriend and who that is depends on what I need advice on.

My cat - she's the smartest one in the house. Whenever I ask anyone else in the house anything I just get that lost, blank, vacant look of bewilderment. At least the cat meows at me. Then leaves the room.
