are u close with your friends during high school anymore?

Question

I have 2 year left in high school and one of them will be studying abroad in germany. I will be leaving my hometown and moving to a college near a big city. are u close with your friends from high school, what are the chances that my friends stay in contact with my after high school

Nope. I went to 2 different High Schools. One here in the US and for the last 3 years I went to one in Asia. It was an International H.S. and the kids that went to the HS were from all over the world. Who knows where they all are now.....

I was best friends with someone in high school, and had another really close friend. We are all still friends, but actually the girl who wasn't my best friend in high school now is.

After high school people change once they see the "real world" and they move away etc. If you have a big group of friends, you might not all stay very close but maybe at least keep in touch.

But if you feel you have any "best" friends, the ones who know the most about you and respect you, they will be the ones to stick around because their friendship is real. The ones that fade away, you will just remember as high school friends and there is nothing wrong with that. That is what high school is all about meeting and learning from people.

It is definitely hard to stay in touch once you have lost the common bond of high school. Fortunately in this day and age, you have so many ways to keep in contact. E-mails, Texting, Blogs, my psace etc. All help people stay in touch over long distances.

No matter how close or far you are from your friends and what ever technology you use, it still takes a commitment to keep in touch with friends. Even the best of friends can lose touch.

I have about 4 close friends that I stay in contact w/ on a somewhat regular basis. We've all gone our seperate ways, gotten married, had children, etc. However, we may talk once or twice a month and see each other maybe a couple of times out the year. Nothing can really seperate true friendship.

I'm not as close as I was to my high school friends I still see them around town and sometimes we have classes together in college but we all went our own ways after high school... I'm sure some friends stay friends for a long time just not mine...

Sorry to say but most likely you'll lose touch with them. Maybe if they're really good friends you guys can see each other on the weekend, or if you guys really try to get together once a month at least. i only talk to one person from high school. my boyfriend graduated 4 years ago and he still keeps in touch with 85% of them, but very few of his friends went to college and none left their hometown....

ya.. i've been 4yrs left my high school and studying abroad fr away from my hometown and still keep in touch with my friends.. and sometimes i wondering friends that not really close to me during high school became quite close after it.. as for me, we always e-mailing each other as it the cheaper way.. sms and calling sometimes too.. when there's a oppurtunity for met-up somewhere near by.. i'm not going to miss it.. when i'm going back to my hometown for holiday we'll gather around just like we used to be...

I've been out of school for 32 years and I kept in touch with a few the entire time, but when we went to our 30th reunion we realized how many we had lost and how fast time flies, so we have, for the most part, stayed in touch with everyone that is still close enough to get together occasionally.

There's a good chance you can keep in touch with a few of your friends, but you have to be willing to take the steps to see that it happens.

I've been out of high school for 13 years, and even then-- I moved during junior high, so I was never really close to any of those kids. BUT-- I do still talk with three girls here and there.
