Maybe it's a "winnable" cause to back. Doesn't it help to define "good & evil" in this country? Some of these "political correct" ideas are just a matter of common courtesy so adopting them as your own group's mantra is just a ploy to have everyone else think, "what a great bunch of people". Why stop there when the next step is to legislate political correctness and once succeeding in doing that you, or them, can stand up and say, "see, isn't the world a better place?". (or maybe political correctness just isn't that big a deal)
