Texas by default. Their population is much higher than Louisiana. Texas and LSU are both top programs, but Texas also has Texes Tech, Texas A&M and other good schools. High School, texas sends way more kids to d1, and in the pros, the Cowboys are a traditional powerhouse, while NO has just recently started winning games. To the yahoo that threw in California to the arguement, if you go by population, California really doesn't send that many kids to d1 and the pros. If you look at the birthplace of hall of famers Ohio and Penn. both have a fraction of the population of california, yet each have more than California. Combined their population is half of california, and have 45 members, while California only has 15. Texas has 25 while Louisiana only has 5.

Nobody asked about California.

I think overall you gotta give it to Texas. Ignoring individual matchups and quality of current teams, what state is most associated with football? What state gets the most popculture references to football (movies, tv, etc)? Definitely gotta be Texas.

For high school, definitely Texas.

For College, tough choice, cos I too would take LSU over any Texas team right now. But after LSU, what else have you got in LA? In Texas, you've got Tech, Texas, A and M, and TCU just to name a few.

Professionally, I would give it to Texas as well. Houston used to have the Oilers and Dallas has a long, storied history. The Saints were, until recently, often referred to as the "Faints"

High School: Texas because football is like a religion down there
College: Texas because of the amount of teams
Pro: Louisiana I would take the Saints over the Texans and Cowboys any day

Texas is THE state for football, so Texas has too many good players to beat you. Anywayz Louisiana has no good football teams as it is.
