I am thinking about starting a business in a metropolitan area that rents out convertibles and luxury cars such as:

Chrysler Crossfire
Nissan 350z
Corvettes
BMWs..etc.

I thought it would be a fun thing to someone to take for a weekend out of town, or if someone was tired of their beater car they could feel relief by saving up to drive a nice car for the weekend out with their significant other.

I have sen rates go for around $199 a day, and $550 for the weekend.

Any advice would be amazing! Thanks!

I know Ford tried that some years ago with the Shelby GT350H. There was a lot of problems. Some people would rent the car and then pull the engine and replace it with a regular 289. A lot of shelby parts came up missing. A lot of them were damaged too, by driver's that couldn't handle the power or just wanted to see how fast they could go.

There's a lot of liability associated with the rental industry now days. Something to think about.

I do know that they rent some wild rides in Las Vegas, but in other parts of the country, I don't know. good luck.

You need a business plan and finacial backing. It is a great idea, but buying the cars, insurance for them, etc. is gong to get expensive. You also need a business plan. Without one, your only plan will be to fail.

Good Luck.
