They would run very good because of your 256MB Nvidia Geforce 7300GT and the 2GB of ram because I play Age of Empires 3 and I have the same things as yours but with 1GB of ram but 2.4Ghz

You will get significant improvement by adding 1Gb in Vista but not so much in XP. You might be able to squeeze some more performance from your set up by overclocking the cpu, the gpu and its memory. Its performance could then come closer to that of a stock 8600GT. BUT then, the OC versions of 8600GT are fast and there is still so much overclocking headroom.

Take note that when framerates go beyond 60fps, it will be so fast, your eyes would hardly see the difference.

I am running the same CPU (INTEL 820 2.8GHz dual core) with 2GB DDR2 PC4200 RAM & an ATI (POWERCOLOR) X850XT PE & play 3 (DOOM3, NFS underground 2 & BATTLEFIELD 2 with 2 expansion packs) of those games flawlessly on high settings! Go to website www.systemrequirementslab.com & check it out. Its a site that scans your PCs hardware(CPU, RAM, VIDEO CARD ect) & checks it to see if it meets the minimum/recomended requirements of any game off of their list & tells you how well your PC will preform. If you dont meet the requirements it tells you what you need to upgrade so you can play it. Its a must website for gamers & you have to check it out!

They should run ok, but you might want to install more RAM. I got much better performance from Battlefield 2 after going to 2GB of RAM.

i have the same vid card as well as a similar cpu (P4 3GHz) with a gb of ram and can run oblivion, battlefield 2, and sims just fine. if anything definitely more ram, as has been said, especially if you are going to use vista. you'll want a bare minimum of 2gb to run vista operations.

your PC specs are great, but add more RAM (3GB or 4GB) to experience smooth and fast gamimg.
