why is it that most men always end up marrying women they dont love?

Marriage provides security and with this comes the complacency. No relationship can be taken for granted.Once you become complacent and start paying less attention to the needs of the other, the colour begins to fade away.By nature men are more impatient than women.In intimate relationship you need to take care and do things that keep the interest alive. Moreover, you have to be forgiving and self effacing to keep the bond strong.

My husband once said that he married me so his mother would be proud of him. He recently informed me that "he never fell in love with me but fell in love in an image". When I asked him to explain he stated that he wanted what his father had; a house, a wife, a job, and children. I do look an awful lot like his mother and, unfortunately, our marriage has grown to resemble his parents rocky relationship as well.

Some men marry women they don't love because they are comfortable: these women remind them of their childhood caretakers in some way. Sometimes the traits that remind them of their mothers are good (i.e. can cook well, are assertive, friendly and so on) or bad (i.e. they are hyper-critical, abusive, drink a lot and so on).

Other men marry because it seems like all of there friends are getting married.

Still, other men marry because it pleases their parents.

Then, some people honestly love the women that they marry but they find that their feelings fade over time.

. I don't believe it for one moment. If, you want to stay in love with a woman ,start by marring your best friend and keep the friendship strong. Take time to be together everyday .Spend time sharing feeling. Try some cuddle time. Love is More than a feeling ,its a CHOICE! Choose wisely. i believe the love dies when they have expectations and they don't match up with the reality, and many men never give their wives credit for all the good things, and tend to focus on that one bad thing. they loved them once, but when problems come which they always do, they don't have what it takes to stay in spite of the circumstances. circumstances may look bleak for awhile but no one wants to stay and wait till they get better, they tend to move on with a new one because they think they are getting better, only to realize down the road that its the same.

I think that since men take longer to settle down then women do, that many men let go the woman of his dreams because they weren't ready for it.

When they decide to settle down, it is usually to late to get the one back that they let go in order to "sow their wild oats"!! So they settle for the next best thing.

guys generally marry women they could afford. rich guys generally hookup with hot looking bimbos who don't nag them or they get the boot. your lower income guys, generally end up with hefers, cuz that's what they could afford. this is not a insult, but the way things generally are.
