global warming is a sign of the Apocolypse

If you mean "the apocalypse" as in Biblical prophecy, no; that is a myth from an earlier time.

If you mean difficult times for the human race, and perhaps our extinction, it is certainly an omen of unwelcome change.

My generation lived in the easiest and most comfortable times in human history. Unfortunately, those times are over. Things can only get worse now, and there is a real possibility of us starving in desolation after a few more generations.

Let's hope not. Let's vote intelligently, and work to overcome the greed that has caused most of the trouble.

I wouldn't say that global warming is a total myth like the apocalypse is, but it _has_ been ridiculously overblown, to put it mildly.

Is the Earth warming? Yes. Is mankind responsible? Probably, at least for part of it. (Part of GW is verifiably natural in origin; the only question is how big a part.) This much is supported by the scientific evidence.

Now let's move on to the parts that are NOT supported by any evidence at all:
* that most animal species will go extinct within 50 years;
* that Florida will disappear underwater;
* that temperatures will rise dramatically;
* that if we do nothing, human civilization will end.

These are all predictions I've heard from GW zealots (as opposed to those who look at it in strictly scientific terms). It frightens me that these things are actually being taught to our kids, when they have -->NO<-- basis in reality. Such predictions are intended to scare people into believing and into action, and as such are pure propaganda. What's that word that's used again to describe when people use fear to accomplish political goals? Terrorism?

What's worse, the enviro zealots have all but cut off debate on the issue. Anyone who denies their claims is labeled a GW denier, a Bush lover, a corporate shill, a greedy self-centered bast*** who cares nothing for the Earth, and worse. I for one am none of those, and I accept that GW is happening, but I disagree in the strongest terms with the scare predictions being touted, as well as with the economically suicidal political "solutions" being offered by those same people.

according to the written accounts of nostradamus, sybille shepard, the blind shepard, and even merlin (!) and many others it might be just what these people had supposedly "seen".. as for my own opinion.. I HOPE NOT! while i believe the damage done is severe, i don't believe there is any reason that we should all continue on with it. not to say that we should all shun modern day advances and technology for the sake of keeping the enviorment clean, yet there are plenty of menial things that we can all do every single day.. or does it really hurt anyone to recycle their trash? turn their engine OFF if they are going into a store? walking to the mailbox and other possible destinations? nope.. that wouldn't hurt anyone and there is nothing wrong with trying!

Nope. But, I do tap my foot most impatiently for the Rapture to arrive so that all the feeble-minded war-mongering Christians who believe in such nonsense will depart and leave the rest of us alone so that we may finally live the promised five thousand years of Golden Peace and Harmony that follows in the myth of Armageddon. Hopefully, all the feeble-minded war-mongering religious extremists from other religions will depart with the good Christians, too.

I think global warming is a delusion conjured up from the mind of madman Al Gore.
