The reason why Wal-mart is able to sell their goods so cheap is because the companies who supply their goods create cheaper versions of their products specifically for Wal-mart. For example, a company like Panasonic will create a lesser quality television for Wal-mart to sell. All customers see is a lower price, therefore they buy the TV not knowing that it will probably break in a couple years. All this does is screw over the customer and devalue a company like Panasonic's name.

Another reason why Wal-mart is successful is the fact that their employees are being paid slave wages.

Wal-mart is truely ruining this country. Evidence of that can be found in any southern or mid-western town where a Wal-mart exists.

This may seem like an obvious answer, but Walmart has very competitive prices. Nearly all of the Super Walmart's are one stop shops, most people can get what they need for their home in just one place. Also, I heard that a lot of Walmart shoppers are low income or close to middle class, so I guess that is one reason why they are so popular. Some SuperWalmarts even have banks, eye vision centers, and barbershops.

Even though I do not come from a low income family at all, I do enjoy shopping at Walmart because everything is a lot cheaper than other places. Personally, I prefer Target, but Walmart and Sams is the most successful Supercenters.
