In some ways, it already is, if you stop to figure in all the insects, animals & sea life that have decayed all over our planet...
There are places already that allow burial on top of existing caskets. More people are opting for cremation. I imagine the use of huge, multi-level mausoleums will begin, where you will have to ride up or down an elevator to visit your loved ones remains...

nah, because there will always have to be people to BURY people to make it a big cemetery.
I think Peter, Paul, and Mary did a good job singing about that in 'Where have all the Flowers Gone?'
