uh B do we not already have those conditions in the world and we add war, poverty and tyranny!!! too so anything that promotes an individuals health will also promote the health of society...ostensibly that is the purpose of the drug war and liquor laws...to promote a healthier society..
Our approach to health care in this country is another challenge as we ration it based on a person's worth thus a form of social evolution or what one might call Darwinism is in play

Society, in the analogy you draw, is much like an organism. What healthy organisms do with unhealthy (infected, cancerous, etc) cells is simple. They destroy them. In all organism Apoptosis, programed cell death, is also vital to maintaining the health of the organism. In humans, for instance, Cytotoxic T cells 'kill' (actually, initiate programmed cell death) infected or cancerous cells so that the body as a whole remains healthy.

The anologous processes in a society would be death by 'old age' and physician assisted suicide/capital punishment.
