How long will morons like you be trying to convince our military that they are LOSING the war? They're not LOSING the war. Try putting on a f*cking uniform and doing the job they do for ONE minute. Thank CHRIST guys like you choose not to serve this country.

I really believe conservatives not only see everything in black and white, but are locked into those extremes eternally. So once they take a position---for the war, or for Bush---they will continue to espouse that opinion because it would damage their ego and self-esteem to admit they made a mistake.
I believe this extends to every part of their lives, not just politics. "Yep, gonna continue to drive this Dodge because it was made in America even though it's in the repair shop more than in my garage. Can't be buying one of those imports and sending my money overseas."
I believe that one of the hallmarks of intelligence is the ability to admit a mistake and change course. The wisest man I ever knew said, "You make a decision with the best information you have at the time. If you're privileged to make another decision on the same issue later, you make that second decision with what you know at that later time. You don't second-guess the first decision with what you learned down the road."
I could be naive, but I think millions of Americans would welcome a President or any politician who admitted a mistake and explained why he or she was going in a different direction. Sadly, these days, we seem to admire intransigence, stubbornness, and hubris. And people die unnecessarily thereby.

Actually, I never supported the war. However, I do challenge you on the "losing the Iraq war " portion of the question since there is no evidence to support that point other than the constant stupidity coming out of windbags like Harry Reid and John Murtha. As for the President, don't like him much but he's an improvement over anything that comes out of the New Socialist Party (formerly the Democratic Party).

I guess you're not listening to the latest reports coming from the troops and commanders on the ground. We're winning. Yeah, the "surge" is working. I know that steams your tiny little peaches.
