I was there.
I had just gotten home from my second tour of duty in Vietnam. My brothers and I rented a van and took out a bank loan and loaded the van with canned soda, potato chips, candy bars, etc, etc. We sold the soda for $2.00/can. The normal price for a soda back in '69 was $.25. We made a fortune. We arrived in Woodstock a day and a half before the concert started (in order to get a parking spot near the stage). We sold out the entire van three hours after the concert started. After we sold everything we enjoyed the concert.

I knew a women who was an LPN at a nursing home I use to voulenteer at. She went to woodstock. I'm obsessed with the 60's and she gave me her original hippie beeds. But the wife of my best friend was wearing them one day and caught them on something and broke them. :( broke my heart... I love authentic things.

I have known more people who said thay were at woodstock than there were people actually at it:)

Yes, the older teenage boy that lived across the street from me when I was a kid did, with a bunch of his friends. I still remember his name but I'm not putting it here. Have seen the video a few times, it was great, especially Hendrix.

my mother couldn't go because she had just had me a month before. She never let me forget it either. Like it was MY fault!! (the 1st one NOT the 30 year reunion thing-disaster)
