I have a friend who has helped me like no one else, through the years.
…Who has shown unselfish appreciation for me when others have not shown real concern because they have their own pain.
…Who has never let me down when I took Him at his Word whereas others have let me down over and over again.
...When all other things can be taken away…money and love and fun and friends can all fail and my loved ones could and did die, but He was one that I could put all my investment of hope and will and purpose into without fear that He could be taken away.
…When this world is dark and lonely and everyone has forsaken me, He takes me in and saves me from the dark death!
His name is Jesus, my Master, my strength, my hope, my peace, my God!
I know all this might sound way out there to some, but I believe there are many who God comforts in this way starting way back with the Apostle Paul and going up today's Joni Erickson Tada and including a lot of average-joes like me, in between!
