Well, one that I am re-reading is called "The Cross Centered Life" by author, teacher and founder of "Sovereign Grace Ministries"..C.J. Mahaney. I have mentioned this book before, but it is worth repeating.

Probably my favorite would be one of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand's books..."In God's Underground" or "Tortured for Christ". Any of the above mentioned books are bound to change not only your perspective but your life.

However for a good book I love "The Tao of Inner Peace" by Diane Dreher...it is just a peaceful way of living. Not that I am a Taoist, because I am not...I just love the possibilities in this book....for fun books and study books I have to many favorites to list...as I am definitely a life time student..

I'm with FamilyMom; I don't have any favorite books, just favorite authors. So, that list:

David Sedaris
J.K. Rowling
Steve Martin
Phillip Roth
Helen Fielding (cautiously)
Phillip Lopate
Annie Dillard

There's more, and I'm sure I'm forgetting them. :)

My favorite book of all time is called "The Hiding Place". It's written by Cory Tenboom. She was a wonderful Christian woman from Holland who hid the Jews during WW2. She eventually got betrayed by a friend and arrested and sent to a concentration camp. It is her story and what an amazing true story it is.
