(Or any other non-born American resident of 20+ years.)

I personally think he has been a resident of America long enough to qualify for Presidency. And I would like to see him in the Oval Office.

Granted, this probably won't ever happen. I'd still like to hear from everyone.

Please give a yes or no answer. Including a reason for your answer.

Thanks in advance!

Why not...he has done nothing but support America...and his re-election campaign slogan is already done..."I'll be back!"

No, Arnold should not be president. Did he by chance attain a degree in Political Science/or experience? Or did he use his marriage ties as experience? I still don't see how entertainers can run States and even Countries. Except in Fred Thompson's case(He has a Political Science degree and exp). As for any-other Non-Born American Resident, If they met qualifications and had some exp, then I see no problem with it.

Actually, I think it is way overdue for us to pass a law that allows naturalized citizens to run for President. We now have so many people from other countries living here and have lived here for many many years, that it is inconceivable that this motion wasn't passed twenty or thirty years ago. If you have to swear to uphold the Constitution when you become a citizen, then you should have the right to become or try to become President should you so desire. In my opinion.

Amending our Constitution just for him seems unnecessary. Schwarzenegger is simply not important enough to go through the trouble.

Plus, he's rigid - he still cannot pronounce the name of the state he governs - doesn't he even notice the difference?

I would have to say no. I wouldn't want to start creating laws to circumvent the Constitution. I feel that a person born in this Country will have stronger ties to it as they feel that it is home. There are no lingering questions for them as far as who they really and truly are.

I think it would actually take a Constitutional Amendment to change the qualifications for holding the office.

And, no, I don't think it's called for. No matter how charismatic an individual is, I don't think we should be messing with the Constitution just for him...

Hell no.
He's such a terrible political figure that needs to stop getting involved in US politics. Right now.

He seriously is full of .. You know what.
I don't want them to change it, nor will it EVER be changed.
Thankfully.

He can't even run California.
And they say "We have more bounce in California."
Yeah well, then don't go elect the terminator.

yes, why not

but not because of Arnold (I wouldn't vote for him anyway)

a non-American born would have high hurdles to jump in order to win

we'd have to trust the voters judgment (we do anyway)

If that happened he would never make it

The Terminator is fictional
