yeah i just got of the phone with EA and i was trying to install battlefield 2 and he said i need to update my video card. does anybody know if i can update it online or if i have to buy one and install it to my i pci port.

You can not update the DX and Shader versions of old cards. Those are hardware dependent. You would need to buy a new card. BUT if you only have PCI slots, PCI is TOO SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration. The PCI bus will just bottleneck/slowdown any good graphics processor. You will never enjoy BF2 on SLOW graphics.

For real gaming, you need at least 8X AGP port, or better yet x16 PCIe.

Updating means just going to the video cards manufacturer's website and dnlding the latest drivers.
Upgrading means buying a new video card.
