i trimmed my birds wings a year ago and she still can't fly why. what can i do to help her

my bird has gotton scared and has tried to fly in several occasions but gets hurt trying to do so

the purpose of triming the wings is so the bird will NOT fly. and i am assuming that your bird still thinks that the wings are trimmed so she won't even try to fly.you could throw the bird up in the air and " force" it to spread its wings and at least absorb the shock of falling . try this on a bed in case the bird will not try to fly so it wont get hurt. try this only once a day do not over do it the bird could get a heart attack and die if get's too scared.this will take some time ,think of it like teaching a child to walk.

Try not trimming its wings. I'll bet it grew accustomed to not being able to fly, so it stopped trying.

If someone cut off your feet, you'd have trouble walking, right? If you chop off parts of your bird, don't expect it to be able to fly like a normal bird.
