It sounds like the problem you have is taking an idea from your mind and then putting it into words so that you can communicate that idea to another person and have them understand, all the while being also eloquent and perhaps even charming. Increasing your vocabulary would be a vast help as it will give your mind options when trying to communicate your ideas. Though charisma does have an effect on how your command a group or person's attention, you can increase confidence through practice. You might want to practice speaking alone or reading aloud to a friend. Choose something easy and then move to more difficult material. See how words feel when you speak them, and how they make your feel. This is actually a common problem as we've taken speech and diction out of the school's curriculum, and unless you've taken a debate class or joined a debate club, then you've not had practice forming ideas into speech. If you still have time and access, I'd suggest joining some sort of debate team. They're wonderful for teaching how to communicate. Good luck!

Start learning a NEW word everyday. Make it a point to use that word in a sentence that day. Also get a thesaurus and when you are writing something find other words that mean the same thing Here's your first assignment...
What is a sot? What is a slattern?

Develop your vocabulary by reading. Practice public speaking whenever possible, you'll become more relaxed as you get used to it. This will help reduce confusion caused by stress, you'll be able to think more clearly and come across better. Practice is the key.

You can become articulate in speaking and expand your thoughts using the 5WH, that is, asking and answering to yourself the why, what, where, who, which and how questions. It is easy to speak to people what interest you most.

Honestly, it just takes practice. Sometimes I still get tongue tied when I'm trying to get my point across. Just take your time when speaking and organize your thoughts before you speak. Also, say exactly what you mean.
I've learned that people sometimes misunderstand me b/c I speak too broadly. I know what I intend the audience to understand from my statements, but it doesn't always come across like that.

Definitely read more. When you read, be sure to keep a dictionary nearby so you can look up the words you don't know. At the same time, you'll build your vocabulary and learn to use the words in the proper context. You'll be speaking eloquently before you even know it.

Only thing I can think to add is surround yourself with intelligent and knowledgeable people. Pick up on the things they say and pay attention to diction.
