I have never personally grown these myself, but I have known a few people who did and they removed all but one pumpkin from each vine. I would suggest picking the one that is largest/healthiest looking, and remove all others. Also, Miracle Grow is your friend. Don't apply it too often or you will burn the plant, but fertilizing weekly will help provide all the nutrients to make your pumpkin grow, grow, grow!

Yes, leave just one fruit per plant and all the leaves. Manure tea is great if you have access to good manure. A few shovels in a garbage can, water, stir, let sit a few days then dip some into a bucket and dilute with water.......about a quart stuff and several gallons water. Use this to water the plants daily. If no manure, miracle gro is fine. Watch for squash bugs and vine boring bugs. If you are in an acid soil area you can sprinkle wood ash around the base of the plant to repel...sorta....some insects. Keep the leaves green and happy as long as possible. Pumpkin ready usually after the frost.

To grow really big fruits leave only two fruits to each plant. Cut away all other growth leaving only a few leaves to each fruit. Move fruits frequently to give better shape and colour. Feed on liquid manure every 3rd day and keep the soil moist you can even cover the soil around with grass clippings to help retain moisture.
P.s pumpkins have excellent antioxidant properties and a good source of vitamin B1 & E. Pumkin seeds are also highly nutritious.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes, you must remove all other pumpkins as they take energy away from the one you are trying to cultivate.

Yes, the plant will put all its energy into the one bud site that is left instead of spreading its energy into many small bud sites.

Make sure you raise them off the ground, or put straw under them. Also, keep those slug pellets handy - my crop was devastated by the psycho slugs round here!!
