The republican party wants us to believe that they are the only ones that care about our safety and they are the only ones who can keep us safe.
I did not see that we were attacked any more frequently before 9/11. The supposed attacks that were being planned and were averted does not prove anything, how many attacks were averted before 9/11 that they just did not leak to the media. Most of the thwarted planned attacks were foiled by the sheer ineptness of the would-be attackers.
The patriot act has not kept us anymore safe, all it has done is allow the government a way to spy on the citizens without fear of repercussions. It has offered the government immunity so to speak.
If and when someone decides to commit a violent act against us again they will succeed at some point. We are not any safer.

No, the Military and Political systems of America are perfectly capable of functioning in the case of the change or loss of the president. He could be assisinated tomorrow and not that much would change.
If the current polls are right, and Bush II is replaced by Clinton II, I think you'll be surprised at just how little difference it makes...

No, as a matter of fact, Bush has brought ruin to this country and our freedoms. How anyone can believe that the little red-faced Zionist nitwit is protecting America is beyond me.

No, but we do a replacement who will be diligent about maintaining national security, not return us to the lackadaisical days of Clinton.
