Some snails, hermit crabs, and sand-sifting stars or brittle stars will help take care of this. Also, make sure you aren't overfeeding. Any algae needs nutrients to grow. You might also want to check your water source (if you use tap water to mix the saltwater you use) for nitrate and phosphate. If you find you have these, you will either need to get a phosphate or nitrate absorbing pad you can cut to fit your filter, or start using reverse osmosis water (available at Super Wal Mart [Culligan water at the self-serve dispenser] or Target - this costs about 40.33 per gallon, once you buy their refillable container).
