Why would an American side with the enemy? Isn't that being a traitor?
For some reason it just don't get it.
1) They want to be "nice" to people that want the U.S. destroyed. They disagree with the fact that Democrat F.D.R. quickly executed enemy combatants during World War Two.
2) They support Mexico's undeclared invasion of the U.S.. (Mexico told the U.S. to tear down all border walls. Also, it helps its people come to America.)
3) They want insurgents to win in Iraq by having the U.S. cutting and running.
4) They think the wiretapping of foreigners in the U.S. should be illegal.

I know what you mean. I have some friends and family who no matter what the U.S. does it is worse than anything any European Arab or Mexican could ever do. They will also never ever mention one good thing that the US has done, ever. They always dwell on anything that can bring this country down or make it look ridiculous. They say 911 was caused by our government or that it is our fault.THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE THAT FIRE CANT MELT STEEL like Rosie Odonnell. they say Iranians are being oppressed(by us), they say the moon landing never happened. they say the humiliation inflicted at abu ghraib is worse than beheadings. They emphasize "facts" like the Quron in toilet Newsweek story, which was later retracted. They hate the US for wars that we win (US vs japan ww2) and they scold the US far wars that we loose (Vietnam Iraq). Either way U.S. is bad. They want you to believe that the US is the only country in the history of the earth with a less than pleasant history. I'm not a conservative but extreme liberals make me want to puke.

I think that they simply can't wrap their minds around the idea that there are multiple interests in the world that, for various reasons, would truly like to see the US be wiped out of existence. Or, for those who can grasp that concept, seem to believe that it is all the United States fault that some entities follow an anti-US agenda.
Not having actually lived through a "real" war many simply don't understand that there are, in fact, conflicting ideologies in the world and that things like democracy, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, etc... are worth fighting for. Most of the current voting populations experience with war was the Vietnam and perhaps Korea fiascoes. This has left many with the incorrect notion that all military action is unjust and the government is evil and corrupt while not stopping to realize that their very right to believe that, publicly talk about it, and vote for the politicians of their choice is at the very core of what or enemies despise and what we must defend.

Because the office of the President was created as the executor of his duties under the Constitution, rather than the Emperor of America, each citizen reserves the right to think for himself. That freedom includes the right to determine for himself the identity of America's enemies rather than blindly submitting to one man's opinion. Those in Congress, who make up the Legislative branch of government, have not only the right but the duty to think for themselves and to participate in the formation of foreign and domestic policy. Disloyalty to the President and disloyalty to the United States of America are two completely different things.

2). It seems the Bush Administration is the biggest problem on the border. We are sending Border Patrol to Iraq while we have no one here.
3). The President is waging an illegal war in Iraq. He was authorized to take out Sadaam, that's all.
4). There were a quarter million violations of the law under Alberto Gonzales. Those were US Citizens.

They want to bring socialism to our country in the form of take from the haves and give to the have nots. Being a have not, I recognize snake oil salesmen who live in mansions. Libs love Hugo Chavez. Sean Penn Is meeting with him during his visit. Cindy Sheehan and Danny Glover have met him. He gave Danny money so he could produce a film. Cindy has no job I know, so she at least got a hot meal, if not some gifts of money to spread her wit and wisdom.

Trying to understand liberals is really a exercise in futility. There must be a logic, before understanding can take place. You are so right, on all 4 points, that is why I have said that if the witch or the Muslim terrorist if either one is elected in 08, Washington will be the safest city anywhere. No terrorist would dare hit their best friend, and no terrorist could have a better friend than a liberal president.

We're not on the enemy side.
We are on America's side.
We believe that America stands for some important things: respect for law, freedom of expression, and righteous use of military might.
Unfortunately, the present occupant of the White House is a moral dwarf whose sole concern is when will he be able to duck into a private room to powder his nose.
We wish that the military had been withdrawn from Iraq before it was squandered. Now, there is not even one brigade in the Army that is combat-ready. The Marine MEU(SOC)'s are ready, but they are deployed to the fleet, not Iraq.
In short, the Army is in worse shape than it was after Viet Nam: even at the worse state in Viet Nam, we still had USAREur, which had the fifteen top combat brigades ready for anything.
Now, we could not stand off the Mexicans if they decided to take back the Southwest.
We'd like to get the Army out and rebuild it to defend America instead of producing a war that serves no useful purpose other than to keep Halliburton's stock prices high.
We're not the traitors: you (and W and Darth Cheney and Condisleezarosa and Gonzales the Torturer) are the traitors.

You've got it wrong, "liberals" (whatever that means) are not supporting an enemy. Democrats, however, do seem to have an agenda. They know that by supporting any minority that comes along, that minority will vote for them.
Where you have it wrong is that it's not simply a Democrat position. Both parties want our population divided. If we are divided, we will never be able to unite to stand against them. The more diversity the government can encourage, the better it is for them.
It's like a cancer on our nation, but, my friend, you're deluding yourself if you think this is an issue that is split along party lines.
