who has caused a great impact on our culture, history the way we live today and why?

Many people have. Adolph Hitler changed the way we look at equality, so did Martin Luther King Jr. Columbus changed the way we look at the world by rediscovering America. Marconi and Edison did it with their inventions. Ted Turner and Rupert Murdoch did it with their communications empires and Bill Gates did it with computers. How far back do you want to go? What manner of change interests you? Go back to Jesus Christ and get a major change in religious thought and philosophy of living. Decide what you are interested in exploring, and if it's for a paper, research it. Look for subtle changes that appeared shortly after that person and how they grew.
