I think they will attempt to sign him when he turns 50.
They are also looking at Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver to come out of retirement. Rickey Henderson is also available. The Giants can sign these guys and relive the 70's and early 80's of guys they wished had played for them.

Especially since most people believe he is probably 52.... He would have been the young rookie on the Giants roster!!! LOL
If you look at Julio Francos rookie card it lists his birthyear as 1961. A couple of years after that it listed it as 1958.....
How old is he really!!!

Julio would be the old veteran even in their club house, but I'm happy to see him back with the braves!

Maybe - especially considering the Giants clubhouse might be the only one where Franco's nickname could be "The Kid".

No, I don't think so. No team would be really upset by not signing Franco, although despite his age several teams could use him!!
Chow!!

Probably so. I'm sure they would have liked to sign yet another antique ball player to go with that old collection of ball players that they currently have.
They need some youthful hitting on that team bad.

Hell yeah. They were one 40+ player short of getting the senior discount on the early bird breakfast at Denny's.
