Ugh, no. Men should look like MEN, not ten-year-old boys. And the prickles and itching when it starts to grow out will drive you bonkers. Nature put the hair there for a reason -- to keep your skin dry by encouraging air circulation. Don't mess with it!

Shaving your pubic hair will not hurt. Getting a wax job will hurt, so, I wouldn't probably go there. Shaving can cause itching though, and as others have stated, depending on various factors, can lead to ingrown hairs, which will hurt and irritate you.

That answered, though I don't know your reasons for wanting to shave your pubic hair, I would suggest not doing it. Based on personal experience, pubic hair, like underarm hair, serves to help manage your body temperature--both to retain sweat to keep you cool, and to keep you warmer in the cold--at least, that's what I've observed. The three warmest parts of the body are the head, the underarms, and the crotch area.

Hope this helps.

I don't recommend it. Although it's not true that it will grow back thicker the hair will end up longer than normal when you stop shaving, then it doesn't look natural. It picks like crazy when it starts to grow out and it's hard to maintain. You can also end up with ingrown hairs. It forms like a pimple and the hair keeps growing under the skin. It can get really infected and then you have to actually cut the skin to get the hair out. Let it grow naturally and you can trim it a little if you like, but don't shave it.

Shaving will leave stubble and possibly ingrown hairs. Waxing hurts, but lasts longer.

You could invest in an electric clipper and do some "manscaping" - leaving the hair but cutting it back.

you are male right? Trim with scissors unless you really have to shave- stubs itch when they grow back if you don't have to shave, then don't.
