Either could be correct depending on the context. If all franchisees are part of the same company, then the 2nd is correct. If the franchisees belong to different companies, the first is correct.

It would depend on the context.
Each franchisee owns one of many franchises that fall under a single company, making the second more accurate if you are talking about the one company.
However, if you are talking about all franchisees in general, then the the latter would be correct, since you would be talking about franchisees that fall under multiple companies.

Each franchisee would love his/her company. Since you have many franchisees, multiple franchisees could love multiple companies. So I vote for A: Some franchisees love their companies.

Some franchisees love one company. Their own.
Unless they have more than one company.

I think it's "Some Franchisees love their company." Presumably, each franchisee has one franchise (and one company). I would equate it to "Some people love their house." If you wrote, "Some people love their houses," it would presume these people owned more than one house.

Both would be correct--if more than one company is involved and they have more than one franchise, the first is correct. If only one company, but with several franchises, the second is also correct.

You would say 'Most parents love their children', and not 'Most parents love their child', even though some parents have only one child. I would adopt the same principle here, and use 'love their companies'.
