I moved to Virginia, and they call it a commonwealth state. I haven't found out what it means and how its different from being a regular state.

The way the state government is formed. In a regular state most of the power goes to the state, in a commonwealth some activities that the state should perform is divided among the counties.

There's no difference. They're just trying to be fancy. 4 states in the US are officially styled "commonwealth of____".

It is a Commonwealth, like Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. I have lived in PA all of my life and don't know what the difference is. Look it up in a dictionary.

"Shallow" basically means that you judge people on their appearance rather than their personality and feelings. Example: Bob: "I'm only friends with her because she's hot." John: "You're so shallow."
